WHAT A PLUNGE, by Odewale Oluseyi Lagos, Nigeria Up in the air I flung, while the spring-board flapped with marked aggression. I began to experience descension, my fear as a novice started it's ascension. I saw the blue pool far off, it seemed shallower than before. 1 second gone, I had a second thought, to go right back to the top, the urge to swim, not there anymore, but my body paid no attention, it kept diving on. 2 seconds gone, yet breaking thro' with force, an eventual landing too sure, the hungry water ready to eat me up. I felt no qualms. Splash!... I dropped headlong, with a swift turn to position my buttocks on the floor.
