Forgiveness is king By Emeka Azuine (An elegy to victims of anti-Miss world riots in Nigeria)
Hatred comes from hearts That have drowned their love Enmity thrives in hearts For whom God means no love.
War comes from hearts That have dwarfed their brotherhood Mayhem grows amidst faults Unreconciled for the boom of good.
Forgiveness blossoms from hearts That discover triumph in humility Vendetta moulds around hearts Like caves plundered by brutality.
When emotions trample over wisdom We must step backwards and pause For revenge is like a curse It denies souls the triumph of freedom.

Who will pray for this Country? By Oliver Mbamara (In condolence to victims of anti-Miss world riots in Nigeria)
Like a familiar song, Once again it croons. Like a familiar scene, Once again it plays. New ascending smoke, And littering corpses.
Like to a fairy tale, The world listens In bemused silence, As mayhem plays Another tragic tale Of this "giant" nation.
Another once again, Children are orphans, Wives are widows, Breadwinners gone, Families are torn, As mourning reigns.
The writing and killing, Sensible or senseless, I will not judge, but How shall I answer The query of friends? Ask: why did it happen?
So I search myself, To find some answers, But deep as I dig, I am lost in thought, About hateful anger, And contempt for lives.
So I take to street, For a prayer house, But the churches are gone, Like a few mosques burnt. The ones still standing, Stand idle and empty.
So now I wonder, If leaders and clerics, Discard their roles, And choose to join, The murderous crowd, Who will pray for this country?
So now I wonder, If leaders and clerics, Choose to inspire The evil in men, To hate and kill? Who will pray for this country?
THE EPILOGUE
But I am bent on praying, So I must find a holy house, But how long shall I search? And when I do find one, Who shall lead the prayers? With clean hands and heart?
But I am bent on praying, So I must find a holy man, Sworn to lead in peace and love, But all I see are tainted men, So called leaders and clerics. Who will pray for their flock?
But I am bent on praying, So I must find the word of God, To help me know how to love, How to be kind, and to forgive, How not to judge or condemn, But to see God in all and sundry.

Someone kind, Loving, Caring, but Generous, Living in a world full of hate Crying myself to sleep, After one, changing life forever Ten forty-five, cold December night, Crushing metal all around, Glass and tears on the ground, Pain the say, Pain we feel, Pain in heart, Pain in steel, Death the say you feel calm, Some as cold as there palm, Peace they say, the end is nigh, Can't feel much, but IM hold'n on, Years to come years to go, Good-bye dear friend Justin |

JENNIFER CHICK Daddy I love you
Today I was mean, Today I was mad, Today you were sick, Today you died!
Daddy I have alwaysed loved you, Even though I didn't show it, I've alwaysed cared even though I didn't show it, But today I did.
When you were sick we ignored, When you coughed we didn't listen, When you said goodbye I didn't hear you!
Now that you have used one life, We will listen when you tell us, you love us. DADDY I LOVE YOU!! |

In Memory of Someone Special Adrian Smith
There once was a man of which I knew, and he was so close like me and you. He had a very kind & loving heart which was my favorite part. L.D. was a nice and smiling man and he touched many peoples heart with love, joy,& peace but now he is decease. He always knew the correct words to say when I felt blue and he made me laugh in so many ways. When L.D. left to up to the world above he left me with so much of his love. He had the best smiling face in which no could never ever replace. I truly miss his smile but to see it again I guess I'll have to wait awile. L.D. was more than such a wonderful guy and we all know that it was so sad to see him just past by. I know that he is waiting for me by a river deep and wide, and when I cross that river my love and joy I shall not hide.
